The Soundtrack of Culture and Community

For Odd Numbers, music is a way to connect, tell stories, and explore themes and ideas that go beyond the surface. Known for his genre-blurring blend of Hip-Hop, R&B, Soul, and Jazz, the Cavan native has carved out a distinct space in Ireland’s music scene. Inspired by artists like Masego, Mac Miller, Jungle, and Kenny Beats, his smooth, introspective soundscapes challenge conventions and position him as a key figure in the evolution of Ireland’s music scene.

Emerging in 2020 with a series of releases that showcased his talent for creating immersive, melodic productions, Odd Numbers quickly gained attention for his collaborative spirit and dedication to supporting the Irish music community. This ethos led to the founding of Golden Éire Records in 2022, an independent label where he works closely with labelmates Flynn Johnson and Wallfella, sharing a commitment to redefining what Irish music can be.

The Colours EP, funded by the Arts Council of Ireland, marks a pivotal moment in Odd Numbers’ journey. Spanning jazz-hop, R&B, and Neo-Soul, the project features collaborations with some of Ireland’s most promising voices, including Graham, Flynn Johnson, Wallfella, and Fynch. Each track delves into themes of identity, resilience, and personal growth, unified by Odd Numbers’ signature blend of soulful melodies and intricate production. The final single, Rom-Com, showcases a reflective collaboration with rising artist DeCarteret, marking his return to creative roots after a year focused on label development.

Recognised on platforms like BBC Introducing, RTÉ 2FM, and Spotify’s “Best of Fresh Éire 2023” playlist, Odd Numbers has also made a mark through performances at events such as Nealo’s ‘November Medicine’ album launch, Cavan Arts Festival, and Culture Night Cavan. These experiences have solidified his presence as a versatile artist, both on stage and in the studio.

At the heart of Odd Numbers’ approach is a commitment to authenticity and community. He believes in the power of music to connect people, build bridges, and create spaces where diverse voices can be heard. As he continues to evolve, Odd Numbers remains a humble and dedicated force, driven by his love for the culture and a desire to make a lasting impact.
